  8.         REQUIREMENTS:
  9.  
  10.         EZ-Calendar requires 640K RAM , and color monitor.
  11.         A mouse is supported in the message editing area, but not 
  12.         required.

  15.         DESCRIPTION:
  16.  
  17.         EZ-Calendar is a simple-to-use program which allows you to
  18.         select a year and a month, then leave a message up to about
  19.         5 lines for a particular date. When that month is then chosen
  20.         again, the days with messages will be highlighted and you can
  21.         read, edit or delete your messages.
  22.  
  23.         Upon startup, the program shows a calendar for the current 
  24.         month and any days for which messages have been left.
  25.  
  26.         When the program is exited, it automatically removes any
  27.         deleted records from the file to keep the size of the data
  28.         file to a minimum.
  29.  
  30.         Although there ARE limits to the number of messages you could
  31.         keep, before the limit was reached a noticeable slowdown would
  32.         become apparent in retreiving messages. It is very doubtful that
  33.         any normal use would ever come close to the limits.

  36.         Now with a message Search function which allows you to easily 
  37.         search your messages for any string. After the matching messages 
  38.         are found, their dates will be listed in a window (up to 1000) 
  39.         from which you can select the one you want and press [ENTER] to 
  40.         immediately go to the selected date.

  42.         With this version you can now cut and paste messages from one
  43.         date to another.

  47.         INSTRUCTIONS:
  48.  
  49.         There are some internal instructions within the program and it
  50.         is very easy to use. Basically it starts at the main screen
  51.         and a calendar is displayed of the current month showing any
  52.         dates containing messages in highlight.
  53.  
  54.         At the bottom is a menu. Pressing [ESC] will leave the program,
  55.         pressing 'N' will prompt you for a new date (year and month) the 
  56.         arrow keys will move you through the days on the current calendar 
  57.         and pressing [ENTER] will open the message window on the currently 
  58.         selected day. Pressing 'S' for search will open a box into which
  59.         you may input your search string of up to 30 characters. If any
  60.         messages are found containing your search string, the dates will
  61.         be listed in another window. From this window you may select the
  62.         date you want, and press [ENTER] which will immediately change
  63.         the calendar to your selected date. Pressing [ENTER] again will
  64.         then open the selection. If you enter no search string ALL dates
  65.         containing messages will be listed (up to 1000).

  67.         The message window contains a menu at the top which can be
  68.         accessed using the mouse or the [ALT] + highlighted key.
  69.         When the window is opened, if there is a message for the 
  70.         currently selected date, it will be displayed and may be
  71.         added to or changed. If there is no message, you may enter
  72.         one. Once a change is made to a message (or if one is entered)
  73.         if you want it saved, you must select Save from the pull-down
  74.         menu (or [CTRL] + 'S'). If there is a message already on that
  75.         date and you wish to remove it select Delete (or [CTRL] + 'D').

  77.         Messages may be edited using the mouse and many of the common 
  78.         editing procedures. Including cut & paste from one date to
  79.         another.

  81.         The message window can be closed either by selecting Exit from
  82.         the pull-down menu, or by pressing [ESC]. Remember that unless
  83.         you Save a message it will not be saved when you exit, and unless
  84.         you Delete it, the record will be saved, even if blank.

  108.         copyrighted, you are permitted to use, copy and share it as
  109.         desired, EXCEPT: 1.) It MUST be copied IN FULL, with all of
  110.         it's files, including this one. 2.) None of the files may be
  111.         altered in any way, and 3.) No fee may be charged for it, 
  112.         except for a small copying/distribution fee by distributors.

  115.         the development of quality, low-cost software such as this,
  116.         you should register it with the author. To register, if you
  117.         have a printer, print the included file INVOICE.DOC, or if

  121.         of $12.50 will get the registrant a FREE copy of the newest
  122.         version of the program as well as a list of other programs
  123.         by the author.

  125.         The 'registered' version allows printing of selected messages,
  126.         can be added to your AUTOEXEC.BAT so that when you start up
  127.         your computer it checks for messages in the current month and
  128.         either: 1. Tells you if there are none, and ends or 2. Starts
  129.         up as normal if there are some. It can also be started from DOS
  130.         with a 'switch' to do the same. It may also have other 
  131.         improvements.

  135.         Double Density).
